Season 3

Episode 3 - Goodbye My Love

When Dawn receives the breakup message from Wiesiek, she is heartbroken to find out about his doctor’s diagnosis. Undaunted by Wiesiek’s desire to release her to marry someone else, Dawn responds to him with her first telegram. After Wiesiek calls, the two agree that they are meant to be together and continue to move ahead with their wedding plans.

Now that the almost-break-up is settled, Dawn decides to push the wedding date back two weeks to September 19th, giving Wiesiek’s visa a bit more time but still landing in the timeframe of having his family in the states… much to the dismay of her D.C. fan club. It is at this point that she learns a fiance visa takes on average 12 months to be approved, though in true Dawn fashion, this news doesn’t stop her.

By the middle of August, Dawn realizes that she can’t keep this engagement a secret any more and shares the news with her church. Everyone is now on board supporting and praying for her. Days later, Vee receives a notice to come into the Embassy where he is greeted by the consul: “Congratulations, Mr. Pruszkowski. I hear you are getting married. We have a visa for you.”
